Fun Times at StrollerFit

It was my first day back teaching StrollerFit! It felt so nice to be back!! I dressed up as the Octomom...so it was quite a job managing my 8 babies in my wrap along with my real caterpillar baby (who was in the stroller). I managed to teach with the eight babies the entire class, I only had one fall out :)!!
A lot of moms dressed up and of course the children looked adorable in their costumes!!

Holden's having another fun season! He is playing with 4 and 5 year olds and it has been so fun to watch him grow over the last few seasons!

Holden and his best Friend Ryan! Holden and Ryan have been playing together for the last 3 seasons! It's fun to watch them go crazy, high five and congratulate each other after they score!!

Leila's 4th Tooth

Leila lost her 4th tooth this week...all on the bottom row!

The tooth fairy visited and she got $2.

Quick story... She lost a tooth right after Zoe was born and the tooth fairy completely forgot to leave her money. She must have been "sleep deprived." I get the worst mom award!! Luckily Leila had slept in Holden's room that night and I was quick on my feet. I told her that the tooth fairy must not have been able to find her. :) We made a sign for her door,"tooth fairy, Leila is in here" and sure enough, the tooth fairy visited the next night.

Paul Frank Pic

Leila and Holden had their matching Paul Frank shirts on this morning. I just bought Zoe hers, so I got lucky and got a picture!

It's hard to get 3 kids to look at the camera at the same time!

Uh oh...Zoe is about to fall over!

All Smiles...

We have seen a few smiles from Zoe over the past couple of weeks, but now I'm sure they are for real! I hope to catch a few on the camera soon!

Who do you believe??

The saga continues...Called the lactation consultant yesterday to get some helpful hints and felt like I got lectured for not calling my pediatrician first before taking the medications the doctor gave me. She had some good points, which I will remember for future use, but geez she almost gave me a nervous breakdown over the phone.:) Called the pedi and they said I could actually have been breastfeeding this whole time. So...who do you believe??

Internal medicine doctor - Formula only for 5 days and then wait 24 hours before you breastfeed after last dose of medication

Lactation consultant-said consult your pediatrician every time...they have the last word over ANY doctor about what your baby can and can't have

Pharmacist-Wait 48 hours after your last dose before you start to breastfeed

Pediatrician-Drugs are L2 and L3 which are actually safe when breastfeeding. If your concerned feed 2-5 hours after taking antibiotic to get the lowest amount of medication in the breast milk.

Sister in law- pharmacist- Doesn't recommend breast feeding while taking this particular antibiotic. Scrap the last day of the antibiotic and begin breastfeeding 24 hours after last dose. (I'm certainly not making any recommendations here, but she said with this particular antibiotic course of treatment has no rhyme or reason to the number of days it's prescribed so dropping a day in my situation is not a big deal) interesting...

That's lots of info...How many times can I type out the word breast???LOL

This gives new meaning to managing your own health!!!!!!

What a week...

Complaining ahead....

I usually try to complain as little as possible, but what a week this has been. Woke up Sunday morning with a terrible migraine and sore throat that would not go away. Since I still felt bad on Monday morning, headed to the doctor thinking I had strep throat. Well, the dr. didn't seem to think it was strep and did a flu test which came out negative. Funny that he said that the rapid flu test is correct only about 40% of the time. Then why do it?? Supposedly I had all the signs and symptoms of the flu, so he gave me Tamiflu and an antibiotic. Neither one are compatable with breastfeeding and told me to feed the baby formula for the next 6 days to avoid exposing Zoe to whatever it is I have. Sounded like good advice at the time, definitely want to protect her and the rest of my family. Well, apparently in the doctors haste to get me well, I'm in horrible pain from pumping, barely touched my baby in 48 hours and am miserable. I actually FEEL ok from the "illness" that I have, but now have a whole set of different issues. Maybe I'm being ungrateful, maybe the antibiotic and tamiflu made me feel better fast, who knows...I guesss my point is that doctors are wrong a lot of the time and question the HELL out of them so they think about all points of view.

GEEZ...come on Sunday...

7 weeks old!

Bugsy is HERE!

After 9 months of the ENTIRE family calling the baby in my belly BUGSY, she is finally here. The name Bugsy came from the Leila and Holden's favorite movie Bedtime stories. If you have not seen the movie, Bugsy is the wide eyed adorable guinea pig. We liked the name so much that we had a hard time coming up with a "real" name.

About 2 hours of before we checked out of the hospital we decided on her name.
