Funny Friday's
I love the funny things kids say...so Friday's will be dedicated to the funny "revelations" that my children have over the week.
- My son asked, "How old is grass?" I said, "what grass...like grass in general or the grass in our front yard? He said, "no the grass right there on the side of the road." HMMMM....good question. :)
- I told my daughter she was a "diva" and she answered by saying, "I'm not a Diba" It just made me laugh--of course she has no idea what a diva is.

Holden's Last Soccer Game
Holden has his last soccer game on Saturday! After the soccer game, the team met at Peter Piper pizza for games and fun. All the boys got a trophy. It was a REALLY positive experience for all of us. Holden improved so much and looked forward to all the games and practices.

International Night...
The kids had international night at their school on Friday. There are 4 classrooms and each was a different country. Leila's room was Germany and Holden's was India. There was food and decoration to go along with each room's theme. Each classroom sang 2 songs
Holden's room was 1st. They are the youngest group. It was super cute. All the kids just stood in front of us while the music teacher sang the song for them. Poor Holdie was so scared. He didn't cry, but you could tell he was nervous...didn't move an inch. :)

Leila's classroom did great! They sang a cute song and a silly song that made all the parents laugh.
It was a fun night!

Thursday Thirteen
The Thirteen things I love best about going to Holden's Soccer games
1. You never know what to expect
2. Watching Holden run as fast as he can and pump his arms
3. Seeing the boys carry on conversations on the field when the ball is in play
4. They fall and get up without crying (most of the time)
5. Scoring a goal on the wrong end of the field
6. Kicking the soccer ball with Leila
7. Seeing families together
8. Those games with perfect weather
9. Hearing Holden tell Coach Bob to come to our house for dinner
10. Hearing Adnan tell Holden, "get back on the field your team needs you."
11. Watching the kids have fun
12. 3 year olds in soccer uniforms, cleats and shin guards
13. The excitment of snack time after the game is over!!

Afternoon at the Arboretum
We had fun at the Arboretum this weekend. My college girlfriends have made it a tradition to go to the arboretum with our familes each year for a picnic lunch and pictures of the kids. We missed lunch this year, but they were sweet to wait for us to get some pictures. It's fun to compare the pictures and see how they have grown and multiplied!!
